User Agreement

The website www.lankaholidays.co.uk is a property of Travellers Isle, located at 38/2, Thataka Road, Kegalle, Sri Lanka. The visitors of this website are requested to read and follow below terms and conditions before using this website. If you do not agree with any part of the given terms and conditions, you must not use this website.

Using www.lankaholidays.co.uk or any written communication with Travellers Isle regarding tour arrangements confirms that you are 18 years old or older, and you have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions.
The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions: “Customer”, “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and “Us”, refers to our Company. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of Sri Lanka. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

Booking Conditions

Suppliers’ terms and conditions

Travellers Isle provides wide range of services to its customers. This involves dealing with suppliers related to the tourism industry. When a product or service is purchased through this website or by contacting the company, the customer will be abided to the supplier’s terms and conditions that related to the product or service is bought, in addition to the terms and conditions mentioned here.

Suppliers’ terms and conditions are available on request to the customers. It is customers’ responsibility to read and understand them. Purchasing a product or service from the company confirms that the customer agrees to abide by the supplier’s terms and conditions and any violation may result in cancellation of their reservation or purchase.


Confirming a booking

Accommodation and other services will be served on a first come-first served basis.In order to guarantee a tour arrangement, customershould sign and send a copy of thecompany service agreement and make the full payment ordeposit 20% of the total value of the tour (non-refundable deposit)to Travellers Isle as an advance payment.

For peak period bookings, advance payment is 50% of the total value of the service.

If the booking is made within 30 days of arrival in Sri Lanka, then full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

Full payment OR the advance payment and your written confirmation will indicate an acceptance of these terms and conditions by you.

Final Payment

The balance of payment due for Your Travel Arrangements if any must be paid by you not later than 30 days before arriving Sri Lanka; otherwise we may treat the booking as cancelled by you.

CHANGES IN quoted PRICE:

All quoted prices are subject to sudden changes when affecting something beyondthe control of the company and may occur because of governmental action, currency exchange rate fluctuation and increases in suppliers’ prices. If the price of your travel arrangements is increased by any matters outside our control, then you must either pay the additional price to us when we request it or cancel your travel arrangements in accordance with these Booking Conditions.

Methods Of Payment

Payments for Travel Arrangements may be made either by bank transfer or credit card. (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) All additional charges and fees related to transferring money will be borne by the customer.

Amendments and Cancellations

There is a non-refundable fee of 20% of the total value of the tour arrangement on all received cancellation requests, regardless of the period when the cancellation has been submitted.

If you cancel your participation 30 days or more prior to the start date of the Trip, then you will receive a refund of 100% of total money paid to TRAVELLERS ISLE, minus non-refundable 20% of the full payment.

If you cancel your participation between 29 and 20 days prior to the start date of the Trip, then you will receive a refund of 75% of total money paid to TRAVELLERS ISLE, minus non-refundable 20% of the full payment.

If you cancel your participation between 19 and 12 days prior to the start date of the Trip, then you will receive a refund of 50% of total money paid to TRAVELLERS ISLE, minus non-refundable 20% of the full payment.

Any cancellations made 11 days or less prior to the start date of the Trip will receive no refund. No refunds will be given to no-shows. No refunds will be given to someone who has failed to pay their balance on time and/or decides to withdraw from the Trip after the Trip has started.

According to the terms and conditions of some luxury properties and services, 100% cancellation is required even when cancelling a reservation 45 days prior to the arrival date. In an event of similar cancellation, the supplier’s terms and conditions will be followed.

In the event of a cancellation, the appropriate refund shall be sent out within 2 weeks from the date of cancellation. Any cancellation must be submitted in writing to TRAVELLERS ISLE (letter or email).

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:

You are responsible to carry a valid passport and for determining and fulfilling any visa requirements by contacting your country’s embassy. You must check with your own Doctor, if there are any vaccinations required for the Trip. Pregnant women: Must have a doctor approval in English for the flight and trip.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

Please let us know if you have any questions or special requirements in advance regarding the accommodation. In case of an over booking of a hotel TRAVELLERS ISLE is allowed to transfer the travelers to another hotel with similar standards or to a better standard hotel. The responsibility for that is upon the hotel.

MEALS:

If you have allergies, special dietary requirements, glucose or other food intolerance, if you are hypoglycemic, vegetarian, vegan, lactose-intolerant, gluten-intolerant, diabetic, etc., please let us know in advance of any particular questions or needs you have in order to make this tour suitable for you.


PERSON LEADING THE tour PACKAGE:

Travellers Isle hires trained local professionals who will take you to the places you have chosen in the itinerary. At some excursion points / sightseeing the company may provide a guide specializedfor that excursion / sightseeing.

EXCLUDED FROM TRIP PRICE:

All the transportation related expenses that is not expressed as included is not included. Taxi fare, airfare, excess baggage fees, forwarding of baggage, baggage loss, medical expenses, travel insurance, items or a personal nature such as laundry, optional trips, any meals not specified to be included, special arrangements not specified to be included, airport taxes, extra charges and gratuities associated to your room are all not included. Trip package does not include any expenses related to any unforeseen travel conditions, weather conditions, flight delays, train delays, airport blockages, terrorism, strikes, and taxi fares. Price does not include items of a personal nature such as liquors, personal purchases, wine that is not included, restaurant gratuities, and gratuities to drivers and guides. Personal expenses such as phone calls, spa charges, room service, bar beverages, mini bar consumption, laundry, visa fees, airline excess luggage charges and other incidental extras are not included. Any other service not specified to be included in a packaged Trip is not included. Any travel expense not specified to be included is not included.

RESPONSIBILITY:

TRAVELLERS ISLE, officers, directors, affiliates, collaborators, agents, associates, drivers, and all assistants and helpers to this Trip act only as agents and guides for the travellers and assume no liability for any injury, damage, loss, accident, loss detention, annoyance, delays and expenses arising from the same, irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect in any vehicle or through acts of default of any company or persons engaged in conveying the passengers or in carrying out the arrangements of the Trip. TRAVELLERS ISLE and its officers, directors, affiliates, collaborators, agents, employees and assistants accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in flights, trains or other services, sickness, weather, government and other civil authorities; restrictions and regulations, civil disturbances, strikes, war, quarantine, discontinuances to arrive or change in transit or hotel service, uncontrollable events, forces of nature, illness, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, and or all other causes over which we have no control. All such losses will have to be borne by the passengers as trip rates provide arrangements only for the times stated. Baggage is maintained at owner’s risk. As the Trip organizer, TRAVELLERS ISLE accepts no responsibility for securing, handling, or possession of passports or travel documents; nor for the accuracy of information given regarding such documents. It is customers’ responsibility to make sure that you are in possession of the proper travel documents and are in compliance with the current carrier and government regulations. TRAVELLERS ISLE takes no responsibility for items forgotten at any of the accommodations where you have lodged at any time during the Trip. Rights are reserved at TRAVELLERS ISLE sole discretion to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of the trip at any time should such person’s health, mental condition, physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the Trip or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other Trip members. TRAVELLERS ISLE its officers, directors, affiliates, collaborators, agents, employees and assistants reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any tour/activity departure in accordance with operation requirements. Uncompleted portions of the Trip itinerary are not cause for refund.
